What is Vector Artwork?
We are asked all the time, What is Vector Artwork?

When preparing to print any logo, we ask for your vector artwork...

Artwork is required in EPS, AI or PDF, with all text converted to outlines/curves.
The originally created artwork created in either Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw.
For best colour & picture accuracy please supply a colour correct hardcopy of the design and advise us of any PMS Colours that we should try to match to.

What does this mean?

To give you an easy to understand explanation, vector files are a type of graphic that uses mathematical algorithms, allowing the image to be scaled or modified without loss of image quality or resolution (without pixelating).

When you create an image in Adobe Illustrator (or CorelDRAW), you are creating a vector graphic. However, when you create an image in a program like Adobe Photoshop, you are creating a bitmap graphic, which is not a vectored format. A vector graphic retains its crispness at any magnification, but a bitmap graphic appears pixelated when it's enlarged.

How can I tell if my artwork is vectored already?
It will be in EPS, AI or PDF format and if you open it up and zoom in as close as possible, the lines will stay crisp and clear with no pixelation.
If you're not sure if your artwork is vectored, you can either check with your own graphic designer, or email it through to us and we would be happy to check for you.

What if I have a logo but it is not Vector?
In most cases we can trace and recreate your existing logo in vector format. Typically we can recreate a logo in 1 to 2 hours of work depending on the logo.
Our price starts at $70.00 + gst and covers most artwork.
Vector files are supplied to you for your own future use.

You will receive a digital image of your artwork for approval prior to any printing taking place, in the form of an artwork approval form, which shows your artwork mocked up on your chosen item/s.
